The DLA-RS56 is a high-end model 4K resolution upscaling projector which enables high quality cinema-style viewing even in bright living rooms by virtue of its 1200 lumens brightness and exceptional 90000:1 native contrast ratio. JVC’s e-shift technology, shifts each pixel of standard HD footage diagonally by 0.5 pixels to multiply the resolution and achieve a 4K quality image (3840 x 2160). Our totally revamped optical engine featuring the new e-shift 2 technology with improved planarity property and transmittance performance, results in vastly increased detail and sharp focusing of the image periphery. JVC’s extreme 4K resolution delivers dynamic images with immersive presence to every corner of the screen. The DLA-RS56 is THX 3D certified, meaning it has been subjected to over 400 laboratory tests to evaluate colour accuracy, cross-talk, viewing angles and video processing to ensure the precise reproduction of picture quality in home environments for both 2D and 3D content just as the original filmmaker envisioned. In addition the DLA-RS56 has JVC’s original Frame Addressing method that reproduces 3D images in vivid, life-like colours, and also features improved conversion accuracy in both the optical engine and 3D glasses which leads to a 20% increase in brightness (compared to previous models). Moreover, several functions such as 2D-3D conversion and 3D picture adjustments are included, which helps to provide the dynamic and realistic 3D viewing that only D-ILA projectors can offer. Three dedicated colour profiles for 3D result in 19 different ways to enjoy high quality content. The new DLA series has JVCs Clear Motion Drive which utilises enhanced detection-interpolation technology through highprecision interpolation algorithms to smooth movement in the picture by reducing blur that can be generated in high-speed scenes such as sports events, etc. And, as the amount of picture delay is very limited, these D-ILA projectors are a great choice for gaming enthusiasts. An environmental setting function has been incorporated to minimise the effect of the projection environment – such as wall colour – on image quality. Simply input screen size, viewing distance and wall colour, and the projector will automatically apply image compensation so that high quality images can be enjoyed in just about any viewing environment. The projector also combats Keystone distortion that occurs when the projector is placed on a tilt position. This can be adjusted using the Digital Keystone function (2D mode only) which can also adjust the image to curved screens with its Pincushion Function. The projector can be used with either the new RF 3D rechargable glasses and emitter (PK-AG3 and PK-EM2) or the previous IR system (PK-AG2 and PK-EM1).
